First Band Photo Shoot with "Tell Your Friends" (TYF)
Hey!
So this weekend I had a photo shoot with a band called Tell Your Friends. The band sounds like Modest Mouse. The photo shoot was a good learning experience for me because this is the first professional photo shoot I have done as the photographer (other than the one the Shepherd's hired me for- but I knew them well). I am currently editing the photos and organizing them. Here are a few...

This is Allison A. Gardiner’s (Allie’s) 2nd time joining the Annual Exhibition (though she has tried every year since ’05 thankfully with help from her parents!). She is a native to Newport, RI, attended Rogers High School (grad.’06), and RISD precollege for textiles, summer ’04. In ’06 she placed 2nd in Senator Reed’s Art Competition where she won the honor of having her pencil drawing, Blue, hung in Senator Reed’s RI office. She attended Cornell University for Landscape Architecture (gard.’10) and studied abroad for a year (’08-’09) in Denmark where she focused on Urban Design and Architecture. In ’10 Allison received the Art League of RI’s Curators Award for Multi Media Maureen. Currently she is living in Chicago, IL, where she is pursing work in Urban Design. She currently also takes on portraits by commission. For more info please check, http://agardinerportraits.blogspot.com/

Newport 2011 Annual Members' Juried Exhibition
Hey Everyone!
Today I was accepted into the Newport 2011 Annual Members' Juried Exhibition. I am very excited since this is a very competitive juried exhibition. I have only been able to be excepted once out of the past 8 years I have applied so this is exciting news for me!
The exhibition will be held at the Newport Art Museum, 76 Bellevue Ave, Newport, RI, from Feb. 5-May 22. This year’s “juror is Maya Allison, Curator of the David Winton Bell Gallery, at Brown University. Allison, who holds a MFA from Columbia University, is particularly interested in new media and emerging art.” http://www.newportartmuseum.org/pages/newportannual2011.cfm
Cheers!

Success on Time!
Hey Everyone!
Things went smoothly. I was able to get Z's commission finished. Talk about an awesome project! I couldn't be happier with how things went. Here are a few of the last few shots of the commission.
